International HR Manager

To reach our next exciting growth plans we are now looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team and build the HR function. We are currently a team of around 60 people located worldwide. It would be ideal if you had experience building, scaling, and leading international teams in an ever-growing global environment.

The People Manager will be ultimately responsible for WeSchool HR strategy, ensuring that our teams continue to scale and develop, amidst our high-phased growth.

You will

  • Design and lead People strategy with respect to employee lifecycle (recruitment, employee engagement, performance, compensation and retention), company culture and employer branding.
  • Lead the talent acquisition strategy by managing the full recruitment lifecycle to find the best talents globally.
  • Be a key influencer on all important people related decisions, ensuring that the business maintains alignment with the people strategy.
  • Owning all HR processes and practices locally, ensuring they are fit for our growth and thus have the extreme scalability factor built into them.
  • Having responsibility for the local compliance when it comes to our people operations, policies and processes.
  • Being a business partner for our team-leads advising them on all people related matters.
  • Be WeSchool's culture and values ambassador: you will lead WeSchool's employee engagement and experience actions.

About you

Required Qualifications

  • You have a solid HR background and multi-year experience from leading international HR organizations.
  • You have a solid understanding of end-to-end HR processes and thus you're able to build a vision on how to scale them internationally both on a global and local level.
  • You’re experienced in HR service delivery design.
  • You have a strong business acumen and how to feed business requirements to your own roadmap and vision.
  • You are a strong communicator with fluency in English. C1 REQUIRED
  • You have a problem-solving and can-do attitude combined with networking skills and a willingness to take initiative.
  • You should also work well in a team, but also handle tasks independently and with your own initiative.

About Us

We have recently closed a €6.4 million Series A funding round to scale technology and enter new markets.

We provide an online classroom collaboration e-learning platform developed in-house by our Tech team that has enabled 1.7M (20% of) Italian students not to miss school - the other 2 platforms were Google and Microsoft - and to amplify their learning experience by leveraging digital tools during the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.

We are a young, fast-growing, and fast-paced team that values collaboration and innovation as keys to reaching our mission. Our company is home to almost 50 full-time employees. And we plan to double our team in 2022 to push on our international growth with a full-remote first and objective-based approach.
